Maryland Lottery and Gaming Participates in Responsible Gaming Education Week

Maryland Lottery and Gaming (ML&G) is proud to participate in the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) 19th Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week, which takes place August 1st through August 5th   2016.  Responsible Gaming Education Week provides an opportunity to showcase our year-round dedication to responsible gaming programs within our traditional Lottery and Casino gaming.   We are steadfast to our commitment to promoting responsible gaming. This year’s theme for Responsible Gaming Education Week is “A Year Round Commitment.”

Our commitment to responsible gaming practices ensures our Maryland residents can game in a safe and fun environment. Responsible Gaming Education Week, in addition to the recent NCPG Problem Gambling Awareness Month, is an important part of our organization’s year-round focus on providing training for employees and making educational materials available to patrons.

As you know the ML&G ensures that responsible gambling materials are present in all licensed gaming venues, casinos and licensed Bingo facilities, throughout the state and at all Lottery Retailer locations.  All ML&G employees receive continuing education on responsible gambling and problem gambling addiction.

As a World Lottery Association Level 2 organization, we will continue to strengthen our commitment to responsible play.
